"CARRY His Mission to the World: Compelling Disciples of Jesus" | Acts 5:12-42
The apostles were jailed for preaching about Jesus. That night an angel opened the prison doors and sent them straight back to the temple to keep speaking "all the words of this Life." When the council ordered them to stop, Peter and the apostles answered, "We must obey God rather than men." They were beaten and released, and they left rejoicing that they had been counted worthy to suffer for His name. Then they went right back to it, every day, in the temple and from house to house.
This week we look at what it means to carry the mission of Jesus when it costs us something. Gamaliel told the council that a work from God can't be stopped. So we ask: are we living like we believe that? Listen in to find the courage, the joy and the steady faithfulness that come from following a risen King.
