"Hot Mess" - Judges 10:6-12:7
Are you a hot mess? Good news: you’re in the right place.
Our series Mercy in the Mess: Judges 10–21 continues with the story of Jephthah. He was disowned, exiled, and the last person anyone expected God to use, yet the Spirit of the Lord came on him to rescue Israel. Right after that, he made a reckless vow he never needed to make. The wound he never dealt with didn’t go away. It moved on to his daughter and then to his own brothers.
In this message:
→ Why letting us make our own messes is actually God’s mercy
→ The difference between being sorry for sin and being sorry for what it cost you
→ Why being used by God isn’t the same as being healed by God
→ How unhealed wounds get passed on to the people closest to us
→ How Jesus, the rejected Son who forgave, breaks the cycle for good
Whose mess are you still passing on? And whose mess have you been quietly carrying? You don’t have to cut a deal with God. Receive His forgiveness, and pass it on.
